Visitor Center
The Park's Visitor Center includes a museum which contains many photographs and historic artifacts from Albacore and other submarines. The Visitor Center is the starting point for an audio tour of Albacore. The tour highlights many of Albacore's unique features, provides information about interior features and relates interesting happenings as told by some of her former crew members.
The gift shop in the Visitor's Center offers books and submarine related items for sale. Rest rooms and ample parking are provided.
Adjacent to the Visitor's Center is the Memorial Garden, a tribute to all the officers and men of the United States Submarine Service who gave their lives for their country.
How to get to Albacore Park
Albacore Park is located at 600 Market Street in Portsmouth, New Hampshire 03801.
From Interstate 95 North or South, take exit seven. At the bottom of the exit ramps, there are signs pointing toward the park. The entrance to Albacore Park is about a quarter of a mile on your right as you head toward downtown Portsmouth.
From Route 1 By-Pass southbound, you can see the Albacore ahead on the right hand side of the road as you cross over the Piscatiqua River. The park entrance is on your right just after passing the submarine.

Park Operations
SUMMER HOURS
The park is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day from Memorial Day to Columbus Day.
WINTER HOURS
The park is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday through Monday from Columbus Day to Memorial Day.
ADMISSION
- Adults, $5.00
- Children 7-17, $3.00; Children under 7, free
- Military, $4.00
- Family, $10.00 (2 adults and 1 or 2 children under the age of 18)
